Field Day 2016

Members of the Wichita Amateur Radio Society (WARS) will be participating in the national Amateur Radio Field Day 2016 exercise: When: From 1pm Saturday, June 25, to 1pm Sunday, June 26. Where: The Basketball Pavilion at Friendship Community Park – 705 Davey Drive, Burkburnett, Texas (34.084473, -98.570736). Since 1933, ham radio operators across North America have established temporary ham radio stations in public locations during Field Day to showcase the science and skill of Amateur Radio. This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.
